William Giles

Dr. William B. Giles earned his BS in chemistry from Texas Tech in 1970, graduating first in the College of Arts and Sciences. He obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, again first in his class, from the University of Texas Dental Branch in 1974. After completing dental school, Dr. Giles earned his Master of Science in Dentistry/Orthodontics from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, 1979.

Dr. Giles served as a U.S. Army orthodontist from 1976 to 1983, during which time he was awarded the Army Commendation medal and the Meritorious Service medal. He has been in private practice in Houston since 1974.

Dr. Giles was chosen by Houston dentists as one of the outstanding Houston orthodontists for Texas Monthly magazine in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015, as well as one of the top Houston orthodontists for Houstonia magazine in 2014 and 2015.

He has served as an orthodontic advisor to the Southwest Academy of Comprehensive Dentistry, an affiliate of the Seattle Study Club, for ten years, and was selected as an Outstanding Member of the Southwest Academy of Comprehensive Dentistry for 2015.
