Shawna Heetland

Dr. Shawna M. Heetland grew up in Ahwatukee, Arizona. She graduated in the top of her class at Xavier College Prep high school in Phoenix while earning the Regina Caeli award for overall excellence in scholastic achievement and service. She was captain of the Gael’s cross country team at St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California where she was named to the NCAA WCC All-Academic team. She also graduated as Valedictorian with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in health sciences. She then attended the University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree to become a dentist. She graduated with honors in the top of her dental class and was inducted into the Tau Kappa Omicron and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Societies. She also received the Excellence in Community Service Award and was the president of the Student Community Outreach Program of Education. Then she joined the United States Air Force as a Captain and general dentist. She completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (A.E.G.D.) at the Mike O’Callaghan Hospital at Nellis Air Force Base outside of Las Vegas, Nevada.
